I am glad to have you here.
Welcome to my website. My name is Andrzej and don’t worry about “how to pronounce his name correctly” sometimes, I have a problem:-) Anjay would be the best equivalent articulation. I come from Poland, in 2007 I moved with my wife to Germany where we are living now. We have two wonderful daughters.
Now I am working in Switzerland for Trivadis AG as Microsoft Infrastructure Consultant and Data Engineer. This is what I love to do, but the path here was not so easy. As I come to Germany I couldn’t speak german or english, my first job was dishwasher then I was “promote” to pizza backer, I was working on the construction, then I lost my job and was unemployed. But I didn’t give up. I stared a new education path at IHK in Karlsruhe. During this time I made six months of unpaid internship and… I met Uwe, one of my best friends I found in Germany. He gave me an opportunity to get to know how Linux works and I am thankful for that, because in my work is very important to have a wide knowledge. After my internship, I found my first IT Job, I was very happy and grateful to get this job. I become a new colleague, a new experience, and also a new job opportunities.
In 2015 at the suggestion of my polish friends I started to study business informatics at Economy University in Wroclaw (Poland). These two years have been the most excited and heardest time for me and my wife. I drove almost every Friday after work to Wroclaw and come back to Baden-Baden on Sunday night. Over 1800 kilometers every week. My wife was pregnant and was alone with our first daughter at home. After the first studying year, we have a lack of money for living at this time and I had to change my job for better pay. I found one but in Stuttgart, a 100km from our home and I drove every day there and back… But I finish my master thesis. I change my job again and we moved from Baden-Baden to Loerrach where we living now.
The conclusion of all this is:
“Hard choices, easy life. Easy choices, hard life” – Jerzy Gregorek
All of these choices, moving to Germany, finding a job, learn a new language, etc. was hard for me and my wife. But now I have a great job, I love what I’m doing and I am thankful for all this struggling, because now I know how to appreciate what I have.
…if you can dream it, you can do it.
Cheers
Andrzej (Anjay)
